Cody Roush, B.A.
Archaeologist
B.A., Anthropology, University of Missouri, 2012
After graduating, Cody began his career in archaeology at the MURR Archaeometry group, conducting provenience studies and trace analysis for researchers from all over the world.
Eventually the draw of the field was too strong, and he began working on cultural resource management projects across the U.S. Eventually this work led him to San Antonio, TX, where he led crews on large-scale surveys and participated in extensive monitoring projects in downtown San Antonio, culminating in documenting a previously unconfirmed portion of the San Pedro Acequia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Since moving to Washington, Cody joined WillametteCRA in the spring of 2021, assisting with multiple construction monitoring projects in the Seattle area.
In his spare time Cody enjoys rock climbing, board games that are too complex to really have fun playing, and curing his own meats and cheeses.
His research interests include archaeometry, lithic technology, archaeology of sustainability, and island archaeology.
