John Montine

B.A., Anthropology with a concentration in Archaeology, Western Washington University, 2018
John received his B.A. with a concentration in archaeology from Western Washington University in 2018. Before completing his degree, John attended a CRM focused field school with Central Washington University and participated in an underwater archaeology program in Menorca, Spain. While attending Whatcom Community College, John was Vice President of the anthropology club and presented a poster- Into the Woods: 20th Century Logging Camps in Skagit County (Montine, J Chesterfield, E) at the 2016 NWAC’s in Tacoma.
John has CRM field experience conducting shovel probe surveys, archaeological monitoring, pedestrian surveys, kayak surveys and data recovery throughout Washington and Oregon. He also has experience conducting background research and writing reports. John has a particular interest in mariculture technologies throughout the Pacific Northwest. John has been a member of the Associates for Washington Archaeology since 2018. In his spare time, John can be found playing board games, exploring the PNW or participating in recreational sports leagues.
