Kanani has worked as an archaeologist throughout the Pacific as well as in Alaska, China, France, and Egypt for private companies and research institutions.
She was the project surveyor during four seasons at the Panxian Dadong Collaborative Project, a Paleolithic cave site in southern China.
Since 2006 Kanani has worked in the Pacific Northwest as a federally qualified professional archaeologist.
She has worked extensively to fulfill Section 106 and NEPA requirements for projects. She has served as the lead for many of our Willamette Valley projects, including our stormwater and sewer improvement projects, wastewater and treatment facilities, housing developments, wetland/habitat restoration, and highway and road projects, ranging from major new construction to small-scale sidewalk and bioswale projects along urban streets. Many of these projects have been conducted to address USACE Section 10 and 404 permit requirements.
Kanani is our corporate Secretary and is 40-hour HAZWOPER certified. She is a member of the Register of Professional Archaeologists, Society for American Archaeology, and Association of Oregon Archaeologists.
