Archaeologist
B.A., Anthropology and Visual Arts Studies, University of Florida, 2018

In 2018, she was a volunteer for the Laboratory of Southeastern Archaeology. She assisted with the cataloging of thousands of modern and pre-contact Gulf Coast fish skeletons to help better understand both ancient fish populations and the fishing practices of indigenous coastal peoples.
Althea has lived and worked in the Pacific Northwest since 2018, with experience in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Her field work has included pedestrian survey, shovel probing, test excavations, construction monitoring, and data entry.
She started working with WillametteCRA as a field technician in 2019 and became a full-time staff member in the spring of 2021.
Althea is a member of the Association for Washington Archaeology. Her research interests include comparative anatomy, primate evolution, and scientific illustration. When not working she enjoys riding her bike, cooking, and bouldering.
