B.A., Integrative Studies with an emphasis on Social Sciences, Great Basin College, 2011
Breann completed her Master’s degree in Cultural and Environmental Resource Management at Central Washington University in 2023. At CWU, she served as a Research Assistant, conducting lithic analyses and helping to manage an archaeological collection. Her thesis included the analysis and comparison of lithics assemblages at two pre-contact sites at Mount Rainier National Park.
In 2020, Breann became a Field Technician for Willamette CRA, doing data recovery, shovel testing, and construction monitoring. She joined the company as a permanent staff member in May of 2021. Her research interests include the Late Pleistocene-Holocene transition, evolutionary archaeology, and lithic analysis.
Breann completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2011 at Great Basin College. As an undergraduate, she attended two archaeological field schools in northeastern Nevada, both of which were at pre-contact sites. She also completed an internship for the Fish and Wildlife Service in which she analyzed lithics from the Fort Ruby site.
Prior to coming to Willamette CRA, Breann worked for the Forest Service and the National Park Service in Nevada and Washington. She has experience in pedestrian survey, site recording and monitoring, shovel testing, data recovery, geodatabase management, and report writing and editing.
When she isn’t poking around in the dirt, Breann can usually be found snuggling with her dog, daintily sipping tea, and playing video games with her husband.
