Langston has worked in architectural history and historic preservation since 2016 and has professional experience spanning nine Western states. His work has focused on the built environment of the Pacific Northwest and the American Southwest, and his research interests include both early vernacular architecture and midcentury institutional complexes. In the course of this work, Langston has demonstrated expertise in historical research, writing, architectural history, and cultural resource management. He has used these skills for a wide range of project types on behalf of both public and private institutions.
In support of project goals, Langston has prepared National Register nominations, determinations of National Register eligibility, Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) documentation reports, and local landmark nominations, among other document forms. Langston exceeds the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for Architectural History and History.
